    Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am going to be sending a sample of effluent water in for some testing for possible straight use, or blending with our other water source. Which labs are recommended by you all, or which would you steer away from?

    Kyle,

I have used Thomas Turf for more years than I can remember.

I know there are a lot of great companies out there doing soil and water testing, but the reason I've stuck with Thomas Turf is because if I had an "emergency", they would squeeze me in.

I can call them at any time and speak directly with Jim Thomas or Bob Yzaguirre.

Can't remember the year, but I was flying in from out of country and one of them called me on my cell at our national convention and asked where I was was. I told him 3rd floor building C, or something like that. He said they were on the 1st floor....same building. They knew how important it was for me to get my results that they had brought them with them. 10 minutes later we were sitting at a table reviewing those results. They deal with reality. You tell them what you have, that's all that is available, that's all you're going to get, whether it be soil or water, and they'll work through the problem.....with you.

Not sure where you are, but if you ever find yourself working overseas, their labels taped to your sample will guarantee that it will sail through customs. I have never had a shipment held up, or completely stopped, not once in all of the years I've worked with them.

That's the kind of relationship you need to find and KEEP. Give them a call. Or....if someone else would like to respond with another company that they like, then call them as well. But.....stay with the same company for ALL of your testing requirements. At least on the same golf course. Mixing labs is always a bad idea.

    Good luck,

    Jeff

I'll second Thomas Turf. They are good people and do excellent work. I got to tour their facility and meet their employees a few years back and was impressed. Easy to talk to on the phone if you need further explanation of your numbers or recommendations
