May sound like a dumb question, but just curious what types of grease are your shops using?  Many factors involved in grease usage, pressure, temperature, drop points, etc.  (reel rebuilding)

Any preferences for adjusters, pivots, slides. We"ve used lubriplate ass. lube, Anti sieze, lithium, etc.  Anyone come across something that theyve been pleased with. Thanks

I use Hydrotex for everything. Motor oil , Hyd fluid, Essentialube for fuel treatment, gear lube, MT55 grease it stays where you put it. I have used hydrotex for 30 years. Hope this helps.

I have used Certified Labs, Premalube Red, for almost 20 years. Works very well and don't have to add as often as most. I usually cut all intervals in half, no issues.
For pivots and slides, I had my guys test several different spray lubes in the past and the overall winner was Sea Foam's Deep Creep. Lubricated very well and was also a good penetrant. No harmful effects on turf. Spraying lubricant all moving parts of equipment (that are not greased) has been added to my maintenance schedules about every 50-100 hours, depending on equipment.

I have used Swepco 103 for quite a few years now, good stuff, no bearing failures due to grease since I have been using it. Cost is $338 for a case from R&R. Case of 30.

Enter the challenger Schaeffer 219. Did a test run this year on a 5410D reel bearings. This grease stayed put better than the Swepco 103 which became runny. Cost is $160.50 for 30 tubes.

I also have used the Certified Labs Premalube Red. The retiring mechanic here when I took over used it and swore by it. Cost is $286 for 48 tubes. Good stuff as well.

I can't speak for any other brand but Swepco 103 absolutely will not mix with water. I pulled many reel Motors off and had a few drops of clear water run out and no rust inside the bearing housing.

i really like the certified labs permalube its pretty pricey but i rarely have to rebuild rollers when im lubing my equipment on a regular basis.  the only bad thing about it is getting it off your hands or cloths.
