Doing a trial with them right now. We are just shy of 4 weeks from first application and seeing good surface response. Second app goes out Monday.

Going to be interesting to see how guys decide to put it out for maximum efficacy. I'm going to play around with it and see what works - hoping it really does what it says on the tin because if so it will be a life saver.

    Andy:

Just curious if you are doing a green or all your greens? Also are the assays coming back with lower counts or are you seeing nice white roots??

We are doing all of (except a check plot) three greens, and a portion of another green. I have not seen the results of the assays that were pulled last week prior to the second application, but we are starting to grow some good roots in the treated areas. Also, the mottled turf on top has pretty much disappeared and seeing a lot of lateral growth starting to fill voids. Second app went out last week, so should continue seeing a good response.

What nematodes did you have? We had a high count of Root-Knot and a moderate count of Ring. Our greens are horrible right now. They are mottled and extremely rough & bumpy. There is turf there, however the weak areas aren't growing and the healthy areas have exploded with all of the added fertility, hand watering, extra aerifications, etc.. We are applying Nimitz this week after an aerification and I am hoping we see some results quickly. I have tried everything to try and grow through them, but nothing is working. Also tried two apps of Avid with no success. This is definitely frustrating.

So we are 7 weeks and two applications in now. Starting to see a good response with both top growth and root growth. Roots are down about 3" whereas before they struggled to hit even 1/2". Are counts were high in Sting and Root Knot. Pulled samples today to see if numbers dropped.

We spot treated a few areas in May and then a second app five weeks later on greens four years old. Our 17 year old greens we did a spot treatment in early June. No real stresses yet on turf as it is raining almost every day here in SW FL. Will be watching this forum.

Andy, are you doing the 80 pounds per acre over three months or the 60 pounds per acre for four months?

2.75# /m applied in the spring and again we shall repeat in the fall. We are noticing increased root and shoot densities. Our "Muda Grass" is looking happy. :D
