Bentgrass Sod Installation Cancel The title field is required!

   Hey experienced superintendents ...how do you install bentgrass sod?
   I have heard multiple ways of doing it and I am looking for how you all do it.
   I have heard to mow it lower than the green height before you cut the sod so when it's installed, it'll grow into the green.
   I have also heard that you can install it slightly lower than the green surface height and topdress and it'll grow up into the green.
   I appreciate the info. Been a super for 7 years and am still green for the most part so I am always learning. Thank you all in advance.

   Is this just spot sodding or the whole green. If spotting I would lay about 1/8 to 1/4 low and topdress in. Eliminates scalping. If the whole green have the sod company lay it.

   I think if you are spot sodding it helps to have your mower operators foot check check them first couple days before they mow as they some times swell until the profiles blend.
