    Greetings;

    I heard on the news this evening that there will be a vote in California in 2018 to secede from the United States. It will take 585,000 votes to accomplish this. If successful, California will be the fourth largest country in the world too sell or trade goods or with a big economy. The intent is to have anyone enter their country and it will be a sanctuary country.

    They understand there will be a host of problems as air bases, marine and army bases and navy bases. They will charge rent if they wish to stay. It was stated many middle class people were already moving out of CA because of taxes.

    Hopefully, CA superintendents can shed some light on this subject. I saw this segment on Fox News on Tucker.

    Captain;

    And if Barry O takes over the new country, we'll still have 56 states.
    Too bad, there are some good peeps out on the left coast, I just pity their current " state. "

    If GCSAA ever goes back to Anaheim for GIS it would be the first ever GIS in a foreign country. Get your passports early.

    Congress would never allow it to happen. Republicans would win every US election for years. Nancy Pelosi would lose her job.

    Larry, after I hit the submit button, I thought that might have been the case. So I tried everywhere I could on the GCSAA website to find past GIS host cities and couldn't find anything. We should go back to Toronto again.

    The last time states tried to secede from the Union it didn't end well for them.

    It would be a shame to see California secede. California is the freaky hostile family member of the USA family. We lose Cali then we no longer have memorable arguments and food fights culminating in hair pulling and insults at Thanksgiving.
