Beginning tomorrow, the next 1460 days of my life will consist of, in this order, voting at 6:00 AM then curled up in a corner shaking violently.

    Greetings;

We don't need luck tomorrow Larry. We need a miracle.

We have a hostile media 94% against Trump. Hillary and her Democratic friends cheated, lied and misled their followers. Hillary is a pathological liar and a very corrupt person and so is the Clinton Foundation.

President Obama and Loretta Lynch have instructed the FBI to back off. Wiki-leaks has shed a lot of light on how the Democratic Party has operated. They literally screwed Bernie Sanders
    .
Donna Brazil formerly from CNN was not fired and she gave two questions and answers to Hillary Clinton that was used on a debate with Bernie. And, she has great contempt for those who like and vote for Donald Trump. She calls us DEPLORABLES and Bernie's people "Cellar & Basement Dwellers".

The Democratic Party even nicknamed Bernie "Goofus". Clinton aids made side deals with the FBI to search and destroy their laptops. The Clinton Campaign are mocking Catholics & Evangelicos bastardizing Christianity.

I have a lot more to say as I'm sure many of you out there do also. And, I'm also sure many of you have a lot to say about Donald Trump.

    PEACE

    Capt,

There's a lot of blame in your post and most of it is true. There's no way I can vote for Hillary based on her deceptive nature but.....

The Republicans would be better served to look at themselves with regard to the state of this election. Where is the statesmanship, the diplomacy, the leadership, the couth? Instead they came up with Trump. No way I can vote for him either because of as you said and Red alluded to..."Peace".

It is pretty sad to think no matter who wins tomorrow, our country was faced with probably two of the worst choices in the history of the presidency. I will have to vote for a pig over who I consider a criminal from way back. My only hope is that his business knowledge can actually change some of our lousy government practices. Start with forensic audits of every department and I bet you would find upwards of a 50% waste factor. If he really could bring back corporations, the pie would grow and we would greatly increase tax revenue while cutting taxes and greatly increasing jobs. He isn't part of the good old boy network of the incumbent party. Maybe he would shake things up. I have nothing but horrible pictures in my mind if she is elected. The only saving grace for the country would be the congress and senate refusing to work with her and we have 4 years of nothing getting done. Neither candidate will go for a second term. Hell, she could easily be indicted over the Clinton Foundation scandals. I just do not feel very optimistic looking at the next four years. At least he would select credible Supreme Court nominees. She will pick the most radical activist who would gut the Constitution. Really two very poor choices.

With a President Clinton (how hard is it to write/read that  ), as for the Supreme Court, when Justice Ginsburg steps down congress could vote to reduce the size of the court to seven justices...let's hope (assuming they make no confirmation for the seat of Justice Scalia).
As for the rest, I choose to see the glass as 20% full
    That's all I got

The voters have expressed their anger and frustration with the "system", but have done nothing to change it. They voted for a new president, but nobody knows what he really believes or what he will do. More importantly, they sent the same people back to Congress. So there will be little change in "politics as usual." They wanted to "blow up the system", and did so in the Executive branch with Trump. At the same time, they perpetuated the system by not "blowing up" Congress. Nobody knows what we will get with Trump, but I can't see him working any better with Congress than Clinton would have. We have a very divided electorate, almost 50-50. I can't see Trump (or Clinton for that matter) being a "unifier." Unfortunately, politics have become a zero-sum game and compromise has become a perjorative.

Well said, the sad thing is, many voters think they changed the system and don't see they pretty much left the problem (Congress) in tact. And to tell them otherwise.......

Besides the benefit of better supreme court selections, the one thing I hope Trump blows up is this cult of political correctness. Maybe somehow now, if you don't agree with those politically correct advocates, you will be less apt to be called a bigot, a homophobe, a racist or an Islamaphobe. It had become any opinion that differed had to be censored. I don't think anything is wrong with wanting secure borders, questioning if Sharia Law is even compatible with a democratic republic or being allowed to hold you religious beliefs. Maybe the logic can swing at least back to the middle and some of the insulting name calling can be reduced. I am probably asking for way too much!

Sandy, old friend, while we may be on opposite sides, politically, I do agree with you that it would be nice to see things swing away from the extreme - on both sides. While some of what is called political correctness should, more accurately, be called common courtesy it has often been carried to the extreme.

I think the vast majority of the country, in both parties, agrees we should have secure borders. The problem is that Congress won't do anything about a realistic, comprehensive immigration policy. Maybe now the election rhetoric is over they will get down to the business of running the country. I don't hold my breath, though, because as I've said it seems politics have become a zero-sum game. It would be nice if people would respect that other people may not have the same view of things as they do and work together to compromise instead of calling each other names.

As heard on the news in the streets of New York City..... "hey' hey. Ho, ho. Donald Trump has got to go.."

A whole lot of worry over nothing. Little will change. I can't believe the stewing and pouting. Sure, I'd rather see someone like Colin Powell in office, but he's too damned smart to want the job. So we have Trump.

I say, "Meh..." to the whole thing.

I agree. I'd rather give any incoming President the benefit of the doubt to see if their adminstration works or not before I stuff my foot in my pie hole prematurely.

I did see the nice cordial meeting of the press with the current President and the President-elect.
First thing I thought of when they shook hands and Mr. Trump complimented President Obama, did this guy just pull one over on the Republicans as well?

I thought his campaign talk was over the top, so over the top, I had to wonder could really be like that? I'll wait and see.

    Mel,

Something's got to change for Dems. Maybe Booker could help.

During a DNC who-can-we-blame-conference call Donna Brazille is called on the carpet (as well she should be) as part of the problem, by a staffer who tells Brazille she will die of old age and he will die from..........climate change.

Unbelievable. As the Dem party goes they are both part of the problem.

This forum gives all of us a chance to voice opinions, no matter which way we lean. I know we had disagreements in the past but I don't think I have ever seen anything hateful or resort to name calling against each other. Maybe that is a credit to they type of person who becomes a Supt. We all seem to understand what we believe and have reasons for it, non of us blindly following extremes. Guess that shows a solid level of logic that is required with our jobs everyday. Some of us were on the winning side and some on the losing side but I gather from the comments that we all do believe every new president should be given a fair chance to succeed and do what is best for our country. I still believe we were given two less than desirable candidates and admit to voting for Trump because I could not bring myself to ever vote for her but I wish him and his administration the best. He is a bright man so he should surround himself with bright people who know how to accomplish things. I hope the next 4 years go well for all parts of our country and all this denial and protesting is shown to have been for nothing. Office is showing a smooth transition, too bad the people in the street can't face reality. I sort of wonder how many of them even voted.
