I have a Toro Multi Pro 1250 Sprayer with 1200 hours. There is a strange noise coming from the clutch . Has anybody ever had this problem ? and if so what was the fix . Thanks

Make sure your engine RPM's are correct - For clutch to fully disengage and be able to shift gears without damage the engine RPM can not be too high.

Not sure of specs as we no longer have one in the fleet - fairly low idle

Yes. It could be the drive belt or the rivots that hold the clutch together could be getting ready to shear off. Toro had problems with these clutches and have since went with a different manufacturer. I would change the belt first and it might save you 3k when the clutch breaks in two pieces. A worn out belt puts added stress on your clutch. We change ours out twice a year as a proactive approach. Belt is $85.00. Don't wait, your next noise will be costly.

Especially when the tank is loaded.

Thanks for the info . We did change the belt but the noise is still there . We took the clutch out and there is a spring there that looks worn out. Am not too sure if this is the problem .
