If you do not have the stomach for it all you have to do is read the subject and move along.

I mostly agree with Huff's response, but, since we're at it, and since Scott and I almost always disagree, I feel like I need to chime in..........

I think this thread has hit a record for deleted posts. I never had the chance to be offended, and that offends me.

I'd repeat it but presently on the most wanted list ..........during the GIS the forum police may be distracted by the bright lights of Las Vegas.

So they're now banning acronyms? How many times has "BS" been posted? And they're still up. Does that stand for Bear Soap? And does anyone really believe that %$&%$ is code for "bunny"? There has been such a flurry of deletions today on this thread, that it makes me think someone called HQ to complain. Half this thread is gone.

Scott, you wouldn't complain about responses to a thread YOU started....would you? Apparently you asked for your entire post to be removed. Any chance you said, "And while you're at it...." Hey, just asking.

This is getting just a little ridiculous. We've been policing ourselves quite well since Adina left. I haven't seen any obvious, blatant profanity. Apparently, Washington Traffic Fines is acceptable, but the acronym would result in the entire post disappearing. And what ever happened to the emails we used to expect.....POLITELY asking us to edit our posts? Not anymore. Now a six paragraph post gets wiped out because of one word, or an acronym.

    Dear Forum Moderator,

Please post a link to a complete list of every word and every acronym that will cause an entire post to be deleted without any communication with the "supposed" offender. Oh.....and please give us every possible interpretation of all acronyms. I gave you Bear Soap and Washington Traffic Fines. That's two down. Have fun with the other 5,000.

I asked for this thread to be taken down. I thought it would be locked out. Although my comments were very well received by young mothers and mothers-to-be, and young fathers, it was ridiculed and flamed by grown men in this forum.

Interesting. I had no idea that there were that many young mothers on this forum who were in dire need of your counsel on the taste of their mammalian fluids. Who knew?

Truly...everything does not need to be commented on and some things shouldn't be posted at all, especially when you are so sensitive about any sort of response that fails to feed what is apparently your insatiable need for affirmation.

I wrote in my original post that I had written it at the request of a young female journalist friend. MANY people had read it and it only received negative responses here.

My point exactly. Does everything that comes into your mind have to be published here?

Since my early response was wiped without a trace, I'll try again.

For me, Scott, the post was so out of left field an unrelated to anything I had a hard time seeing it for anything else than one thing. I'm not against people tooting their own horn if they need to. We all do it occasionally. But hows bout next time give us the link to whatever it is your proud of that you want to show off and let us make the decision from there. Posting a wall of text about birthing, with no reference point except "here. I made this." is odd and, yeah, just odd.

The reaction from the mods here is a whole other problem. This forum exists for our enjoyment. Please don't make it hard for us to participate with, seemingly, arbitrary censorship.

I'm a young expecting mother and I still can't get past the practice putting a bolt in a fetus' head to see how he/she is doing.

Like Ron, I too am an expectant Mother and was offended greatly by having my life giving breast milk compared to day old cornflake milk. I have breast fed seven babies over my time and never had a complaint. I will disagree with Ron however as I have had to drill a bolt into the head of 3 of my my more problematic children. Until you have walked gracefully in the high heels of another woman's shoes, it is extremely unfair to criticize their choice of child rearing techniques.
I will take the high road here, and not demand Ron's post be removed
