Toro Greensmaster 1600 DIY light kit Cancel The title field is required!

   Any sharp E.M. out their reverse engineered the light kit for a Toro Greensmaster 1600 Model 04060? We are a low budget muni. I bought two of these units with my own money and would like to add lights to them. Any Ideas? I can fab a light mount, where do you get power? Does the factory kit add a generator? Thanks

   As the link above states, you may have two yellow wires coming out from behind the fywheel to provide 28vac power. If so you can either continue following the steps described in the link if you want LED lights or just wire 2 regular incandescent headlights together in series and power them with the 28vac provided. I've done that before. The light intensity will vary with engine speed but will be plenty with the engine revved up.

   The wonderful thing about LED lights is that they can act as a rectifier as well. Should be able to hook them up in series with a switch somewhere in the circuit and you are done.
