I don't believe I had been introduced to this product although it sounds interesting. I will at least do some tests with it.

We were provided some sample product last year from Bayer. I can tell you that at first I was not impressed. The product was applied in March and April of last year. We did not see a significant response until roughly October. Since then, the greens that were treated have been phenomenal. We had an excellent transition and significant growth all spring. Roots 5-6" deep on average across every green treated. No other nematicide was applied during this time frame.

The Bayer reps were here yesterday to evaluate now that it's been over 12 months. I told them my theory: the Baccillus Firmus requires more time to develop and populate in the soil, hence the delay in response. Or, the product was applied late, missed the opportune window, then caught the second batch of Nematodes once it cooled down in the fall.

Either way, we are planning on treating the remainder of the courses with Nortica this fall once temperatures decrease. For us, that would be mid-October. Or, if we apply in the spring, which is probably a given, will apply in February prior to Bermudagrass root growth. I would highly suggest, as does Bayer, to also apply Interface during the same time frame.

I can also tell you that a course down the street used it this year and was very pleased with results. 6-8" root depth on TifDwarf.

We have been using this fertilizer with aerifications. It has Bacillus firmus in it.
