Our remote has one of the directional buttons not working. Counter clockwise does not work, Clockwise works fine. They do not make this remote anymore #2289, distributer has none. Buffalo wants us to buy a Upgrade kit: New remote, New wire harness, New transmitter and New battery box. Looking for options and if anyone has had one repaired.

I had so much trouble with mine that I threatened to give it away. I complained so bitterly to them that they sent me a pigtail to run it as a wired unit. Those things are junk and I will never buy another one.

We keep the remote in the office so it is dry and so far so good.

Agreed. Blower is a great tool, but hate the wireless units. I have two blowers and have gone through two controll units and upgrade and about six remotes. Will never go wireless again.

We have a 2006 CKB Buffalo Blower. One of the black rubber buttons wore out and fell out of the remote housing. Has anyone ever replaced just the remote or used the aftermarket key fob or found a replacement rubber button?

We have we replaced them with new ones from the dealer. Programing is simple and takes all of about 30 seconds. Havent found any after market ones myself, but that's not to say there is none out there. For as long as they last I don't have a problem purchasing from the dealer.
