Replacing worn 11 blade green reels. Cancel The title field is required!

   We will be replacing our JD 2500 greens 11 bladed reels this season this will be the first time since new. I was just asking if anyone has gone with 14 bladed reels in their 2500's. If any difference better or worse, any more stress in periods of heat. I figured that worst case I could slow down the f.o.c on the mower for daily play and turn back up for tournament play.

   No experience with jd 14 blade reels, but we have toro flex 18's with 14 blade reels and we think they do an improvement, faster greens, the real key is using the micro cut bed knives.

   They wont stress the green, your just going to get a better cut, no stragglers. and when double cutting playability will be even better. As you mentioned, if you're not happy then you can just slow them down. I've never slowed them down, run wide open.
