    There are limits on speech for which the government can arrest a citizen. Communicating threats, criminal conspiracies, soliciting prostitution, etc.

    Greetings;

    HHHHHHMMMMMM!! Must be two sets of rules or laws here. Madonna going to blow up the White House - Kathy Griffin holding the head of Mr. Trump and The most recent one is from Marie Chappelle Nadal the Democratic senator from Missouri who put out on face book "I hope Donald Trump is Assasinated". That is absolutely terrible.

    One set of rules for everybody. I'm not a lawyer, (or I wouldn't be mowing grass for chump change) but I believe there is some leeway allowed for the performing arts. If someone in a movie says, "I'm going to kill the President of the United States." that's not counted as a real threat.

    Saying you hope something bad happens to somebody does not constitute a threat. Holding up a fake decapitated head and threatening to blow up the White House are certainly out of line, and perhaps consitute a crime, but that's not up to me.

    You could write to express your concern to Attorney General Sessions.

    Capt. I think its the same set of rules, Don't forget Mr. Nugent's comments about what President Obama and Secretary Clinton could do with his gun<script id="gpt-impl-0.014110195567985206" src="https://securepubads.g.doubleclick.net/gpt/pubads_impl_145.js"></script>s....I think they all received visits by the Secret Service, and it seems all were given the same punishment from the US government.

    Now the court of public opinion seems to have two sets of rules, I don't remember quite the outrage during Mr. Nugent's comments. Doesn't seem to be the same outrage from the right for his comments compared to what we heard about Madonna, Kathy Griffin and State of MO Congresswomen Nadal. (not that I agree with what they said or did). Heck look at the backlash the Dixie Chicks got, and all Ms. Maines said while introducing "Travelin Soldier" was "Just so you know, we're on the good side with y'all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we're ashamed that the President of the United States if from Texas."

    Hi Mel;

    I'm sorry, but I never heard of the Dixie Chicks! And, who is Mr. Nugent? I'm not fooling - maybe I was not into politics then as I am now.

    I hate to admit this but I said way back when Obama got the nomination - I said what is the matter with those idiots! OBAMA just ask Mrs. Clinton to be vice president and you guys will win in a landslide. I thought together they could do a great job for the country. One never knows. Oh well, it didn't happen and it took me a few years to figure why they didn't get together. BECAUSE THEY DID NOT LIKE EACH OTHER!!

    I do like Mr. Trump - he is a fighter and he can take the heat. Get used to it out there - Mr. Trump will be our president for the next 7 years and 5 months.

    Capt. Maybe I was too kind in calling Ted Nugent Mr. I'm sure you've heard of old Ted Nugent, the guy who is so gung ho with his guns now, but avoided signing up for the service during the Vietnam era. (from what I've read, those stories about how he avoided the draft aren't accurate?)

    As for President Trump, the only way he last 4 years is because there are rumblings that he really doesn't like the job, and is looking for a way out, he'll stick it out as long as the vocal minority keep holding rallies for him, or he gets close to President Obama's rounds of golf record, anything to remove Obama's name from stuff. Of course that's what we hear from pundits that have no other skills then to blabber on the TV. I think he is frustrated that running the country isn't like running a business where he can screw contractors and has ultimate power. Even if he plans on running after 4 years, I think the Republicans try to primary him.

    I can't see him getting reelected either, unless people stay home and don't vote, or Secretary Clinton somehow runs again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice same on me, I don't see those voters in the middle voting for him again, unless things really change for the better. But of course that is just me taking my turn at being a pundit.
