On smaller tires that are prone to punctures, we have them filled with foam. Costs around $40/each, but allows the tire to last until it is so worn out it needs replacing. That's about 10 years on all caster wheels on rotary mowers that are foam filled.
On larger tires, I've seen issues using the sealant. But, only when you have to replace the tire. Typically this stuff coats the rim so good you have to throw it away and buy another. However, you can extend the life of the tire significantly.
