Yes, because Gingrich and the republicans dragged him kicking and screaming to the center. The country got results!

    Sandy,

It's too bad the republicans now won't work with the president, all they want to do is make him a one term-er, I think the president wouldn't have to be dragged to the center, heck in most cases he is already there right of center on many issues.

Mel I would love a position he has taken, a policy he has pushed through.......something that puts him right of center. That was meant to make us smile right?

Dave, he extended the Bush tax cuts. Is that not right of center?

    Mel,

I see that as either a do or don't issue. What would the "center" be on extending tax cuts?

We go to war, cut taxes and wonder why our economy is effed up? Extending tax cuts must be a "right" thing to do because it is so wrong.

    Pete,

The tax cuts are what the right wanted, so that is why I said it was right to right of center. Dave, there has been Afghanistan, Iraq, now Libya. He continued the stimulus that Bush had started as Tarp. That is how I see it right of center to center. I do agree with what he did in Afghanistan, I hoped the stimulus spending would have worked more. We need infrastructure improvement. I was against extending the tax cuts, it sure hasn't created the jobs the Republicans claimed it would. Of course this is just my opinion.
