This winter I will be spending my time making sure our course is in compliance with all regulations. Can anyone help me with OHSA specific requirements to golf course maintenance.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Nick,

Check with your workman's comp company. It's going to be their job to coordinate and communicate to OSHA should anything occur. It's in their best interest, as yours, to have you as OSHA compliant as you can be. Ours WC has an ex-OSHA inspector working for them that makes frequent site visits. He has educated us extremely well and has been a great resource.

    Hope this helps.

There was a time when you could call OSHA and they would send some one out to inspect your area. They also guaranteed no violations would be issued and give a reasonable time to comply. I imagine with budget restraints this may not be available any more. It would be worth a phone call though.

As already said, you may want to contact your workman's comp. provider.

Ours came and did a 2 day, 10 hour presentation strictly on OSHA rules and regs. We had someone present from each of our departments. It was very helpful, and I'm not sure, but I think I remember hearing someone say we got a few bucks knocked off our policy for going through this training.

It was well worth it for me, as I received 1 full ceu from GCSAA.
