Albert Kronwall said: It irritates the h*** out of me that the MSM is no longer a watchdog for the people. It has become the facilitator for this administration to do what ever it wants and know that the MSM will not report on ill effects of their actions to the rest of the country. It seems to me that this administration is writing the script for the MSM and they obediently comply. People that are only casual news watchers don't realize they are getting a skewed view of history, and it's scary that they will vote to determine the future of this country. With the MSM and this administration working together to get Obama re-elected I am worried that my children could inherit a country that is no longer free, and for the first time in history a country that is worse than the one the previous generation left.
Andy, can you elaborate on what you think is not getting reported? In my opinion reading your comments, and like I say, it's an opinion, it sounds like you have gotten your news from Fox, Rush and the like since you've sounded like the scary things they report on has effected you.
I have heard part of the problem has been the news industry itself because of them cutting cost and all. An analogy was talked about (sorry it was I believe on MSNBC) a few weeks ago, that back in the day when major cities had two or three newspapers, the reporters were more deleigent in their reporting and fact checking because if they didn't they would get scooped or shown-up that they didn't do due deligence in their reporting when the other newspaper would take them to task, sort of a checks and balance type thing and of course when a newspaper wasn't doing their job, they would lose readers. With the news scources today with the internet and all, how are we really sure on the quality of the news reporting? Part of the problem with reporters now, they don't fact check themselves, they allow the "fact checkers" to do it for them, and there have been complaints that some fact check groups or more l iberal or conservitive.
And people scoff at the Jon Stewarts and Steven Colberts, hey their reporting is as good as anybody's in my opinion. (sorry for mis-spellings the spell check is acting up)
