We are currently upgrading our written safety guidelines for our course. I was given a website, safetywriter.com that will help in writing and creating safety policies. As of now, I'm finding that it is very generic and does not cover the many aspects that all of us cover in the scope of our job. Even the Dept. of Labor folks told me to use this website. Somewhere out there their has to be a better solution than what I have been given here and a contractor that will charge an arm and a leg for the contract. Does anyone have any suggestions on where else to look besides this website or the policy writer.

Got a call this week from Melissa at McCord Golf Safety about this very thing. They have golf course specific safety programs and I asked if they would be at the show and I would look them up.

    Hello Chris,

Mickey McCord will be attending the GIS in San Antonio. He will be in the Turf Drainage Co. of America booth (#4099). He'd love to meet you in person and will be glad to answer any questions about his safety training videos. The Turf Drain booth is located on the far aisle near the bit John Deere display.

    Best Regards,

    Melissa Swirski

Either McCord Golf Safety (Mickey is a former Superintendent) or Jeremy Wharton from JW & Associates (http://www.jw-safety.com/. Both are very knowledgeable and can write your entire program covering all the necessities - even the ones you aren't thinking about.
