Innocent people killed and maimed today by some Saudi nutcase. Runners having the day of their lives get caught in this disgusting cycle of violence and terrorism. When are we going to get some common sense and quit allowing people that hate us into our country? We could start with Saudi Arabia and few other countries tomorrow!

Glad you have your own confirmed intelligence sources. Maybe call the FBI and consult?

Very unfortunate event. My heart goes out to those there trying to enjoy themselves just to be impacted by this stupidity...
Speaking of stupidity, I wonder how long before this gets blamed on the sequester or W

    Sandy,

The police are guarding this Saudi in a Boston hospital. Of course he denies doing anything wrong but I think he is part of the plot. There were a couple more bombs found and were disconnected by the police.

My information came from a neighbor who had finished the race in 3:10, had got refreshed and dressed and walked back on the course to cheer for friends. He happened to be near the spot where the guy was tackled. He is retired Naval Intelligence and he said the guy didn't appear to be reacting like the rest of the shocked crowd. My neighbor was just out of the concussion zone and was not injured or disoriented. i will go with his description until I see evidence to tell me otherwise. Yes, it could be home grown terrorism by somebody remembering Ruby Ridge, Waco and Oklahoma City because it is around anniversary dates of those events but I will go with a former intelligence guys gut feeling until I see other evidence.

Terrible event at what should have been such a happy day. My thoughts are with the victims of this mindless slaughter. Way too early to reach conclusions as to who did it or why- more facts will come out today so be patient and let the FBI etc. do their jobs. Speaking of doing their jobs, hats off to all the emergency personnel in Boston, they did a terrific job in responding to the crisis and preserving the crime scene as well. We may not ever be able to stop these events completely, but we can certainly control how well we deal with the aftermath.

Sandy, seems like your guy nailed it on the suspect according to the news... I'm no investigator however....

I'm not sure if I would react like the "rest" of the crowd either. I'm not sure what a normal reaction would be. Combat troops might have a different reaction from regular folk, but does that immediately target them as being responsible for the attack. I would suspect that the "Saudi" may have reacted differently because being Arab in that situation would immediately make him a suspect rather or not he was involved

Having been in the presence of a shooting that took place in the Excalibur hotel Las Vegas on December 14th, 2012, there is no textbook response to situations like these. I saw some people freeze, others duck under tables and other run. Personally, I grabbed my wife and ran like hell. It is one of the most frightening and chaotic situations I could have ever imagined. Different people respond in different ways to these types of situations and any footage of the bombing shows this. If this "Saudi" is the guy, then good. I just know that most initial "speculation" ends up being BS. Oklahoma City initial speculation was Middle East terrorists. I watched just enough of the news to get some of the facts. The rest is just journalistic diarrhea. They have to fill the time by sharing conjecture, unfounded theories and speculation. Professional gossip that does nothing but fan the flames of collective BS. My heart goes out to those who had to endure the terror of Monday's events.

Having run marathons in the past, this event makes me angry, shocked and very sad for all those hurt or killed. They were all experiencing the best of life seconds before this sick event. Whoever it turns out to be or if it is a group, I hope they suffer a million times over what was inflicted on the innocent people having a day of enjoyment. When they get caught, and they will, they deserve no headlines and the most serious punishment that can be inflicted upon them. I hope they are despised in whatever prison they occupy. Living every day in terror would be only fitting.

It seems to me that the Bush Administration would willingly torture bad people who had information we wanted. The Obama Administration will give bad folks an opportunity, then kill them if they are uncooperative, dangerous and/or no longer useful. Both methods seem fine to me now. Under Obama I would presume the culprits of the Boston Marathon Bombings will be killed as quickly and publicly as possible.

Kay Adams: You know how naive you sound?
    Michael Corleone: Why?
Kay Adams: Senators and presidents don't have men killed.
Michael Corleone: Oh. Who's being naive, Kay?

This is too small time to be big time al-qaeda. No one including that Saudi Student should be eliminated at this point based on the information that is known publicly.

Don't forget that a Saudi was quietly deported and his background was considered suspicious. If you have ties to a royal family, you just get sent home, no questions asked. I don't know if this guy was involved in any manner but I guess it was all done very quickly. Terrorism links had been mentioned but we will never know. Somebody trained the older brother and only time will tell if this is a cell or two brothers that had their brains twisted. Reports out of the UK mentioned sleeper cells tied to these guys but the FBI has not verified anything yet and has denied anything up to this point. Unfortunately, it was the religion of peace involved again through two twisted brothers spreading their hatred. I thought the big beef with the guys from the Russia area was Russian oppression. I don't get how they can live here with comfortable lives and still pull this off. Who was funding the lifestyle?

"I don't bluff," Beck continued. "I make promises. The truth matters. I've had enough of what you've done to our country. I thought I had heard and seen it all. I thought I didn't trust my government. Oh no, no, no. There is no depth that these people will not stoop to. They have until Monday and then The Blaze will expose it."

It's getting late on Monday and Glenn Beck "don't bluff." So, when does he show his cards? If he really speaks the truth that would be today, right? Anyone have a link to the "truth"?

    Greetings;

Sandy is right. It was reported a Saudi was in the area of the bomb explosion and he had some wounds. He took off but some people tackled him and held him for the police. He was found innocent of this bombing and was let go. I never did hear any more about his wounds. It was also stated that one Saudi student will be on a plane for home the next day. I never heard anything else. And, I only live 14.5 miles from the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. You see the printing on the doors WEST CLINICAL CENTER - go through there and downstairs and you may find the younger brother. That is where I had my Sub Dural Hematoma Cranial Surgery.

Do you remember the female fighter pilot fighting the Saudi's war a few years back? She would go in to town with the male pilots after they completed their missions and she was not allowed in there because she was a female. I think the President of the US agreed with the Saudis. It was not President Obama. I guess it had to be one of the Bush's. Not sure though.

Seriously, I have not heard anyone say that President Obama was covering up for a Saudi National being deported back to Saudi Arabia to preserve our relationship with the Saudis.
