Looking into over seeding fairways and tees next fall. Was wondering what everyone's thoughts were, pros & cons. Seed rates etc. I am in southern Oklahoma with common bermuda grass fairways, tees and rough. Would appreciate any tips or comments.

My Bermuda does not go dormant, but I overseed at 400lbs / ac wall to wall and 1000 lbs on tees. I do not overseed greens.

Steve

Edward,
In the Phoenix area, we overseed as it is expected by our winter visitors... we do go dormant, so we overseed our greens... I go at 375, which is on the light side around here... 500-600 would be more typical.

Just saw another post I think a Jan. article in the USGA Green Section Record about painting fairways instead of seeding, wonder if that might be an option?
