   I would like to find a new sand supplier in or near Tracy Ca. that has USGA grade sand and sand mix.

   Brown Sand is in Manteca, the next town east of Tracy. Call Reggie Pomicpic @ 209-993-5211. And he doesn't even pay me to give you that info.

   First thanks, I contacted Brown last year and then they stoped writing back, I will call today.
   next I am building a 14,000 ft putting green next summer and it takes time for me to get approval and supplies. My shipping cost is very low so I buy state side it is more often lower cost than local in Japan.
   Also I BUY AMERICAN when ever possible.

   You could also check with TMT Enterprises, either Steve Byrne or Matt Moore. They are in San Jose and their office number is (408) 432-9040. I have used them for over 30 years in the Bay area.

   You might want to have the sand checked for nematodes.I once worked with a peat moss company out there that was going to mix with some sand but the nematode count in the sand was too high.I don't remember which sand co it was but it would probley be worth the cost of the test.
