We have asfalt paths from tee to green and do not allow carts out on fairways. We would like to mark the 200, 175, 150, 125, 100 on paths to help players with their club selection before walking out to their ball. (We also have markers mid fairway and sprinkler heads marked).
Just curious what others have used or how they have done it. I'm leaning towards simply making number stensils and spray paint. Anyone doing anything fancier that that? And how have you measured?
    Thanks for any input!

We have markers mid fairway and use the same type of marker next to the cart path. Our markers are simple concrete plates painted red/100yds, white/150yds, blue/200yds and yellow/250yds (only on par 5's). They show up really well in the grass alongside the paths. We had our surveyor measure the distances after construction was completed. Cheers.

At another course I was at, we used yardage templates from Eagle One, or Par Aide and designated a color for each yardage it looked pretty good. However, we needed to paint them a couple of times a year. I have seen other courses just paint a 6" to 8" circle in the middle of the path. Depending on your budget you could always make something a little more classy during down time.

Stencils and supreme path paint. Takes about an hour to do 9 holes and lasts for our summer season which is only 5 months. Quick and easy.

150 and 100 stenciled on the paths with spray paint...others have used colored stripes on the path to coordinate yardage plates. we also had the red white and blue steel plates from standard golf in the fairway and along the path... fwy's were lasered and cart paths were ballparked
