I heard something on the Roger Hedgecock show while driving home yesterday that I haven't seen or heard anywhere else. Did anyone hear or read anything about the Muslim Brotherhood destroying one of the antiquities buildings that was full of ancient manuscripts and other great historical artifacts? He said that scrolls that were 3000 to 4000 years old were burned in the name of Islam and the larger goal was to get rid of the Sphinx and the Pyramids because they were false idols and not acceptable to Islam. Have any of you guys that are over seas heard anything in your local news or publication? If this is really happening, it is a bad sign of what Egypt will become. Is it being covered up by our press so the Arab Spring still sounds like a noble effort or is it a false report? Roger rarely gets led into a false story so I would love to hear from anyone that might have information on this.

According to the story it was between protesters and the military, it didn't say who the protesters were. Hopefully the rest of the world condemns this destruction, and maybe other countries step up to offer protection for this history.

Roger's initial report had stated that the military stood by and laughed at the incident. Those Googled articles at least shed some light on it.

We keep in contact with many friends back in Egypt and they have not told us that there was any burning of ancient manuscripts.

So far that Arab spring thing hasn;t turned out quite like we had all hoped. Another case of being between a rock and a hard place.
