I hope you aren't writing material for your Daughter.

Under that rational, we shouldn't pass any laws that criminals will break. Ain't that special.

Controlling guns to curb violence is like controlling carbon emissions to curb global warming, climate change, ecosystem decline, etc.
Too many other contributing factors to make it a worthwhile impact.
I bet teaching children to respect fire arms and what they are capable of doing would go much farther than shielding them from their existence.
But then again...I thought providing participation trophies would mean there would be no winners just a bunch of losers!
Now, that generation is starting to lead our country (corporate/political)...Lord help us!

Interesting thought Trevor, you would also think in some communities like Chicago, going to funerals of young innocent children would do maybe the same thing?

I think more law enforcement on the streets would help, but the communities themselves don't do enough to stop it and as lefty leaning as I am the Rev. Al and Jacksons and the others should spend as much time on those issues as they do on the white on black violence in my opinion. Actually all violence should be marched upon regardless of color. Maybe if more jobs and education was available, almost as similar in my opinion as the Middle East issues?

Of course is certainly isn't as simple as that, but it would be a start.

Mel, Al and Jessie are irrelevant. They only go where they can find a camera and stir up a bucket of manure. They will never help solve any problem. They make their living on race baiting and being idiot loudmouths! They could care less about helping solve black on black crime because it won't draw enough cameras for their liking!

If Chicago was an island the existing gun laws might work. But since we all know Chicago is not an island what stops people from going outside Chicago to buy a gun and take it back into the city? Nothing, so using Chicago as an example of gun laws not working is well.....hash-tag Lame!

And if everyone in Chicago didn't have arms the guns laws might work too. Oh!, and if everyone in Chicago had a forcefield around them then the bullets couldn't get to them. How about that?...

I have to wonder. Is it better to know or not to know? Like the Alzheimers patient. Probably better not knowing.

I certainly agree on that, just like Rush and other talking heads, not solving anything and just stirring up crap.
