On November 18, 2025, President Tom Storey called the Heart of America GCSA (HAGCSA) annual meeting to order. Held at Sporting KC/Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, the event drew a great crowd and marked the second annual HAGCSA conference, which proved to be another success.

The meeting celebrated excellence across the Heart, recognizing several outstanding members:

• Brian Breedlove Equipment Manager of the Year: Jeff Rockhold – Stone Canyon Golf Club
• Assistant Superintendent of the Year: Miles Jumps – Blue Hills Country Club
• Superintendent of the Year: Bill Irving – Wolf Creek Golf Links
• Chester Mendenhall Award: Jeff White, CGCS

Following the awards ceremony, election results were announced for the 2026 HAGCSA Board of Directors:

• Director: Sean Berger – Canyon Farms Golf Club
• Director: Cody Sander – Drumm Farm Golf Club

The new board has already scheduled a strategic planning session in January at GCSAA headquarters in Lawrence, Kan. With President Jacob Rockhold at the helm, the Heart looks forward to a strong year ahead — one filled with vision, collaboration and continued growth.
