CTEM Attesting
Pass the maintenance facility attesting process and earn your CTEM designation.
Key Attesting Facts
- 1 year deadline to pass the attesting process.
- If you lose your position as a turf equipment manager, your 12-month period will be frozen until you meet the definition again.
- If you switch facilities during the 12-month period but are still the turf equipment manager, your 12-month period will be frozen until you have 6 months of tenure at your new facility.
- Attesting is conducted by two CTEMs.
- Attesting done virtually and requires good wifi or cell service in your maintenance facility.
- Attest anytime throughout the year.
- Conduct your attesting during the non-growing season with turf pictures no more than six months old.
Prepare for attesting
- Download the attesting rubric.
- Evaluate your operations by reviewing each criterion and scoring them on a scale of 0 – 2.
- If you score yourself a 0 – 1 on an item, identify an area for adjustments.
- Show Stoppers (which address safety or environmental practices) must pass with a 2. Meet Show Stopper criteria exactly as it is written on the rubric.
Scheduling Attesting
- Contact Diana Kern at least one month prior to your desired date. GCSAA will find your attestors.
- Typically conducted on Wednesday or Thursday during business hours
- Two weeks prior to attesting:
