EMCP Level 1Exams

The exams are timed and online. You will need internet, a printer and a computer (mouse recommended).

Exam details

• cutting units: 47 questions (90 minutes)
• drivetrain systems: 30 questions (60 minutes)
• electrical systems: 30 questions (60 minutes)
• engine technology: 60 questions (120 minutes)
• hydraulic systems: 30 questions (60 minutes)
• metalworking and fabrication: 30 questions (60 minutes)
• spray systems: 30 questions (60 minutes)
• fundamentals of turfgrass operations: 30 questions (60 minutes)

Exam facts

• Each enrollment in an exam gives you two chances to pass that exam. If you don’t pass, you will need to re-enroll.
• Pass an exam, then print your certificate from the exam site.
• Completed all Level 1 exams to earn a master certificate.

Pricing

• GCSAA member = $40 per exam
• Non-members of GCSAA = $60 per exam
