Rounds 4 Research is a venture of the Environmental Institute for Golf (EIFG), the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). It is presented in partnership with The Toro Co. Funds generated from the auction support research-related activities of GCSAA and its affiliated chapters. Since launching in 2012, Rounds 4 Research has raised more than $1.7 million for turfgrass research, education and advocacy programs. Even during the pandemic, the 2020 auction raised over $263,000. Funds raised by the EIFG also help support GCSAA’s national research program.
“With the popularity of golf surging in the last year, Rounds 4 Research offers golfers a chance to play a round at a notable golf course or a local favorite, while funding turfgrass research that supports the future of the game,” said Rhett Evans, chief executive officer of GCSAA. “We are grateful to all the facilities and golf management companies that have contributed to the 2021 Rounds 4 Research auction.”
