Gift maintains chapter’s position as a Platinum Tee Club organization
Lawrence, Kan. (Oct. 24, 2023) – The Everglades Golf Course Superintendents Association has generously donated $5,000 to the GCSAA Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). The gift is the chapter’s 26th donation to the GCSAA Foundation since 1998.
“GCSAA is grateful for the ongoing support from the Everglades GCSA and for the chapter’s commitment to advancing the future of golf course management as well as the game,” said GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans.
With this donation, the Everglades GCSA continues its membership in the GCSAA Foundation’s Platinum Tee Club, which recognizes organizations that give $5,000 annually to the GCSAA Foundation. The chapter is also recognized in the Presidential Club level of the Foundation’s Cumulative Giving Program for donors who have contributed between $100,000 and $249,999 since the program was established in 1987.
“The Everglades GCSA is committed to supporting the GCSAA Foundation’s mission of securing funds to strengthen advocacy, education and research, which fuels innovation in the industry, enables our members to be environmental stewards and advances our profession,” said Everglades GCSA President Dan Brooks, CGCS.
The Everglades GCSA was founded in 1968 and is one of 95 GCSAA-affiliated chapters in North America.
