Corteva phasing out chlorpyrifos production

On Feb. 6, Corteva announced they will phase out production of chlorpyrifos by the end of 2020.

On Feb. 6, Corteva announced they will phase out production of chlorpyrifos by the end of 2020. Corteva says this was a business decision based on reduced demand. Corteva is planning for its customers to have access to enough chlorpyrifos supply to cover current demand through the end of the year, while they transition to other products or other providers of chlorpyrifos.

Multiple other companies are currently registered to sell chlorpyrifos. At this time, it is too soon to know what effect this decision may have on availability for specific uses through those companies

The EPA is expected to complete registration review of chlorpyrifos soon. That may result in label changes that also change allowed uses.
