Bob Helland, director of congressional and federal affairs, met this week with Democratic staff members of the Senate Agriculture Committee to help advance the Plant Biostimulant Act. This legislation was introduced in Congress so that golf course superintendents and others can continue to have access to these vital products.
Helland offered a number of strategies to pass the Plant Biostimulant Act through the Senate, either separately or as part of a broader bill (like the “Farm Bill”). He also had a similar meeting earlier this year with Republican staff members to the committee.
Helland will continue to work with both parties on a strategy to enact this vital legislation into law.
