Lawrence, Kan. (March 10, 2026)  The Peaks & Prairies Golf Course Superintendents Association has generously donated $5,000 to the GCSAA Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), to support the new Col. John Morley Centennial Campaign.

GCSAA will turn 100 on Sept. 13, 2026, and it has embarked on a Centennial fundraising campaign to establish a new endowment honoring GCSAA’s founder, Col. John Morley, with a goal of raising $1 million to fund new and innovative initiatives for the next 100 years.

The Peaks & Prairies GCSA is supporting the Centennial Campaign at the Chapter Legacy Leader Level, which recognizes donations of $5,000 or more. With this donation, the Peaks & Prairies GCSA is a new member of the Foundation’s Platinum Tee Club, which recognizes organizations that donate $5,000 or more annually to the GCSAA Foundation. The Peaks & Prairies GCSA has now also joined the Statesmens Club Level in the Foundation’s Cumulative Giving Program, which recognizes donors that have contributed between $10,000 and $24,999 since 1987.

“GCSAA thanks the Peaks & Prairies GCSA for its generosity and support of the Centennial Campaign,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said. “We are grateful to the Peaks & Prairies GCSA for making this campaign a priority and helping our association continue to advance the game and the golf course management profession.”

The Peaks & Prairies GCSA is one of the 94 GCSAA-affiliated chapters in North America. Founded in 1976, the chapter remains dedicated to its mission of furthering the education of its members for the betterment of golf and the environment.

“The Peaks & Prairies GCSA is proud to support the GCSAA Centennial Campaign and help ensure a strong, sustainable future for golf course management. This donation is an investment in the next 100 years of excellence for our industry,” said Pat Nowlen, president, Peaks & Prairies GCSA.
