Lawrence, Kan. (May 12, 2026)  The Palm Beach Golf Course Superintendents Association has generously donated $5,000 to the GCSAA Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), to support the new Col. John Morley Centennial Campaign.

GCSAA will turn 100 on Sept. 13, 2026, and it has embarked on a Centennial fundraising campaign to establish a new endowment honoring GCSAA’s founder, Col. John Morley, with a goal of raising $1 million to fund new and innovative initiatives for the next 100 years.

The Palm Beach GCSA is supporting the Centennial Campaign at the Chapter Legacy Leader Level, which recognizes donations of $5,000 or more. The Palm Beach GCSA remains a member of the Platinum Tee Club, which recognizes organizations that donate $5,000 or more annually to the GCSAA Foundation. It is also a member of the Governors Club level in the Foundation’s Cumulative Giving Program, which recognizes donors that have contributed between $50,000 and $99,999 since 1987.

“GCSAA is grateful for the ongoing support from the Palm Beach GCSA, most recently with its generous donation to the Centennial Campaign,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said. “Thank you for investing in the future of the game, the industry and the turfgrass management profession.”

The Palm Beach GCSA is one of the 94 GCSAA-affiliated chapters in North America. Founded in 1978, it remains steadfast in promoting sustainable turf, advancing the profession and enhancing the game, primarily through donations to the GCSAA Foundation for research, education and advocacy, and in uniting local superintendents in professionalism and best practices.

“On behalf of our chapter, we sincerely thank GCSAA for its unwavering leadership and dedication to advancing the turfgrass management profession. Your commitment to education, research and advocacy strengthens our members and ensures a bright future for the game we all serve,” said Jeffrey Klontz, president, Palm Beach GCSA.
