Lawrence, Kan. (May 26, 2026)  The Golf Course Superintendents Association of New Jersey (GCSANJ) and its foundation have generously donated $5,000 to the GCSAA Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), to support the Col. John Morley Centennial Campaign.

GCSAA will turn 100 on Sept. 13, 2026, and it has embarked on a Centennial fundraising campaign to establish a new endowment honoring GCSAA’s founder, Col. John Morley, with a goal of raising $1 million to fund new and innovative initiatives for the next 100 years.

The GCSA of New Jersey is supporting the Centennial Campaign at the Chapter Legacy Leader Level, which recognizes donations of $5,000 or more. With this donation, the GCSANJ is a new member of the Foundation’s Platinum Tee Club, which recognizes organizations that donate $5,000 or more annually to the GCSAA Foundation. The GCSANJ is also now a member of the Governors Club Level in the Foundation’s Cumulative Giving Program, which recognizes donors that have contributed between $50,000 and $99,999 since 1987.

“We are grateful for the generosity of the GCSANJ and its donation to the Col. John Morley Centennial Campaign,” said GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans. “The future of golf and the golf course management profession is brighter and stronger thanks to chapter support. Thank you to the GCSANJ for committing to upholding our founder’s efforts and giving back to the association.”

The Golf Course Superintendents Association of New Jersey is one of the 94 GCSAA-affiliated chapters in North America. Founded in 1926, the GCSANJ is also in its centennial year. It continues to serve golf course superintendents by advancing the profession, offering professional development and fostering relationships for all members and partners.

“In celebration of our centennial year, our chapter and Foundation are honored to support this meaningful initiative. It is a tribute to GCSAA’s longstanding commitment to its members and a reflection of the pride we share in reaching 100 years together,” Maureen Sharples, GCSANJ executive director, said.
