Latest gift supports key GCSAA Initiatives
Lawrence, Kan. (May 26, 2026) – Harrell’s LLC, a leading distributor of customized agronomic products for turfgrass since 1941, has donated $50,000 to the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America’s (GCSAA) philanthropic organization, the GCSAA Foundation, to support the pillars of education, research, advocacy and community outreach.
With this donation, Jack Harrell III continues the legacy of his father, Jack Harrell Jr., the late CEO and chairman of Harrell’s. Harrell’s began supporting the GCSAA Foundation in 2007.
“For nearly two decades, Harrell’s generosity has helped the GCSAA Foundation fund the research, education, advocacy and more that keeps the golf industry vital and healthy,” said GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans. “GCSAA is grateful for their many years of friendship and how they have helped improve the lives of our members and everyone who loves the game of golf.”
Harrell’s is a member of the GCSAA Foundation’s Platinum Tee Club, which recognizes organizations that donate $5,000 or more annually to the GCSAA Foundation. In addition, Harrell's is recognized in the Star Club of donors in GCSAA’s Cumulative Giving Program, which includes donors who have given between $500,00 and $999,999 since 1987. The company is also a strong supporter of National Golf Day and the GCSAA Foundation's annual silent auction.
“It’s an honor to continue what father started years ago,” Harrell’s Chairman, CEO and President Jack Harrell III said. “The GCSAA and its Foundation are important not only to Harrell’s, but to the whole golf industry. We couldn’t do the things we do without them. So, it is necessity to support them in the work they are doing, whether it is research or advocacy for the golf course industry."
