Gift will help fund innovative initiatives over the next century

Lawrence, Kan. (July 28, 2026) – The Golf Course Superintendents Association of New England (GCSANE) has generously donated $5,000 to the GCSAA Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), to support the Col. John Morley Centennial Campaign.

The GCSA of New England is supporting the Centennial Campaign at the Chapter Legacy Leader Level, which recognizes donations of $5,000 or more. With this donation, the chapter is a new member of the Foundation’s Platinum Tee Club, which recognizes organizations that donate $5,000 or more annually to the GCSAA Foundation. GCSANE is also in the Statesman’s Club Level of the Foundation’s Cumulative Giving Program, which recognizes donors that have contributed between $10,000 to $24,999 since 1987. 

“GCSAA thanks the GCSA of New England for its generosity and commitment to supporting the Centennial Campaign and, in turn, the future of the game,” said GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans. “This historic campaign and the turfgrass management industry are strengthened by chapters giving back, and GCSANE’s dedication truly makes a difference in this endeavor and the profession.”

The Golf Course Superintendents Association of New England is one of the 94 GCSAA-affiliated chapters in North America. Founded in 1924, the chapter has been steadfast in strengthening both the profession and the future of the game through education, collaboration and advocacy.

“The entire membership of GCSANE has donated $5,000 to the GCSAA Foundation to support the Col. John Morley Centennial Campaign. GCSAA will turn 100 on Sept. 13 and has established the endowment honoring GCSAA’s founder, with a goal of raising $1 million to fund innovation for the next 100 years,” said Andrew Ingham, GCSANE executive director.
