Rounds 4 Research raises over $112,500
The 2015 Rounds 4 Research online auction sold more than 670 rounds and yielded more than $112,500. The top bid was for a two-night stay and eight rounds of golf offered by Bandon Dunes Resort. The Carolinas GCSA raised more than $22,000 – the most of any of the 50 fundraising partners. The national campaign is supported by a $50,000 donation from The Toro Co.
WOTUS rule finalized
The EPA and Army of Corps of Engineers published the final Clean Water Rule in the Federal Register on June 29, which defines the scope of waters protected under the Clean Water Act. The rule will impact activities on golf courses in, over or near these newly defined “waters of the U.S.” The rule is effective Aug. 28, 2015.
Maintenance budget survey results released
GCSAA has released the results of the 2015 Maintenance Budget Survey Report, available to GCSAA Class A, SM, ISM and C members. You'll find average expenditures for all line items of superintendents' maintenance budgets for 2013 and 2014, and the average amount budgeted for 2015.
