The Sentry Agronomy Volunteer Program will bring two GCSAA members to the PGA Tour event in January
Torrey Pines is known as one of the nation’s preeminent public golf courses, with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Now is your chance to be part of the action when the PGA Tour’s The Sentry returns to Torrey Pines in January.
GCSAA, the Century Club of San Diego, Sentry Insurance and the city of San Diego are partnering for the Sentry Agronomy Volunteer Program. As part of The Sentry’s Growing Golf initiative to increase diversity, equity and inclusion in the game of golf, two GCSAA members will be selected to join the volunteer agronomy crew for San Diego’s PGA Tour event. The program will cover travel expenses.
To be eligible to apply, you must:
- Be a current GCSAA member.
- Have at least one year of agronomy/maintenance experience on a golf course.
- Be available to travel to San Diego Jan. 23-31, 2027.
You’ll also be asked to answer short essay questions related to your career path, future goals, meaningful experiences in golf course management and your interest in volunteering at The Sentry.
