Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Rick.

So what's that left now, Romney and Cain?

Also, Whalin...little quiet there on the amendment 26 'personhood' vote in Mississippi. Of all places that should've passed, you'd think it would be Mississippi.

Since he won't be President, I think the eventual nominee should offer Perry the top spot in one of three Departments of his choice. Perry should pick the Department of Energy.

    And then close it.

It's big news on a potentially country changing amendment that was defeated in an overwhelmingly conservative and pro-life state.
Of all things to take notice of and ponder, it seems that this may be an interesting thing to dissect and analyze. I found the outcome fascinating and was shocked it went the way it did.
I was surprised you had no view you wanted to share on it is all.

Everything you say is true and significant. Yet I do not have an opinion that relates to anyone except me. I hate abortion. Every woman I have known who had one regretted it. One was messing around with her future second ex-husband at the same time she was sleeping with her future first ex-husband. Since she did not know who the father was, she aborted her pregnancy. This is not right. I would never agree to one if it were my decision. As far as the Texas voting is concerned, the right has had the votes in congress and the administration to get it done and did not.

When I started out I had a boss who explained to his people, "If you have a brain (freeze) just take ownership of it and move along. We all have them."

For the conservatives, you may start at 1:16. For the progressives, start at Part 1. I think Jon Stewart is wonderful at this. He knows his facts and challenges those who need challenging.

Rick Perry stalled and then failed to recall a very important point and everyone pounced on him. This is different than Sarah Palin and Herman Cain stalling and then failing to answer a question to which they never knew the answer.

For a guy that espouses his dislike for hate you sure are wearing out Herman Cain...........is he too black for you? But your cartoon was funny...........that did give me a good chuckle...........no bad weekends for me Scott though some are a lot better than others, like this past one. Hopes yours is good as well.

I do think Herman Cain is a jerk, actually likely worse, but where does the black comment come from?

I'd like to know why you think Herman Cain is a jerk or worse.

That just seems kind of harsh, I think. But, if you have your opinions, let's her 'em.

I do not like it when people refer to themselves in the third person ("Let Herman be Herman"). I do not like it when people are blatantly disrespectful ("Princess Nancy"). The Koch Brothers have tried to buy the US Government and may still succeed and Herman is proud to be "their brother from another mother". The NRA has agreed to spend 10's of thousands of dollars to mitigate his unwelcome sexual advances. Harsh?

To each his own -- you don't have to like him if you don't want to. But, I don't think he's the only person to have ever said any of the things he's said or done any of the things he's done.

For example, in September 2009, after Kanye West crashed Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at MTV's VMA awards show, Barrack Obama was picked up by a micrphone calling Kayne a jack@$$. Then, Obama jokingly asked where the press pool was and said, "Hey guys, cut the President some slack, I've got a lot going on." Obama used the third person, too. Will you think him a jerk or worse because of it?

Obama was also blatantly disrespectful on his Tonight Show appearance when he compared his bowling skills to the Special Olympics, casting disrespect toward everything those folks have worked for. Will you think him a jerk or worse because of it?

You can talk about the The Koch brothers all you want, but Obama has taken millions from lobbyists for his 2012 campaign (even though he said in 2008 that he wouldn't) and he's even taken money from big pharma and big oil reps who he asked not to register as lobbyists, so his campaign wouldn't look bad. Will you think him a jerk or worse because of it?

Sexual harassment claims against Cain have never been proven -- his accusers never wanted to go to court. But, harassment claims were brought against Clinton and he knowingly and willfully lied about them under oath. Will you think him a jerk or worse because of it?

I'm not saying that you have to like Herman Cain or anyone else. But, he doesn't have a monopoly on the things that you're bringing up. Others on both the left and right have done them -- including Obama. It just looks really inconsistent if you come out so strong against Herman Cain for doing some of the same things Obama has done, but you don't come out against Obama.

Wahlin: "I do not like it when people refer to themselves in the third person. I do not like it when people are blatantly disrespectful."

"I would not like them here or there. I would not like them anywhere. I do not like green eggs and ham.
I do not like them Sam I Am."

Is this a Dr. Seuss thread?
