Lets see how close we are to being correct. No bashing allowed!
I pick Romney in a very tight win based on the following:
    1. Turnout will not be as high as 2008 with overall democrat voters and republicans will vote in larger numbers.
    2. Early voting numbers are down from 2008. These favored Obama in 2008.
    3. Many republicans turned away from McCain in 2008 but are on board with Romney.
    4. Obama has lost percentages of the women's vote, the independent vote and votes from Wall St. and small business.
    5. The Evangelical vote didn't turn out for McCain but will for Romney.
    6. Disgruntled voters that had hoped for the Obama charisma to make changes but haven't seen it, will go back to Romney.
    7. Historically, undecideds go for the challenger.
Ok, that is my prediction and why, and I didn't berate either candidate. Who else wants to make their Monday morning predictions?

It will be President Obama, the reason, Ohio, Gov. Romney couldn't help himself with his Jeep commercial.

    Romney with 300+ electoral votes.

Have you seen the polling numbers. Not one has the incumbent with 50% or higher. Bad news for him. Also, they continue to over sample democrats by 4-11 points and Romney is consistently winning the independent vote by double digits.

Robert, I think you are right on that note. I don't think we will have an easy answer Wednesday morning unless it is an electoral win by s good margin. Mel, don't forget that President Clinton ruined Chrysler. Just ask Joe Biden, the guy who has never felt good about being Vice President for the past 4 years. Boy, how many gaffes did he make in the last 2 weeks alone?

    Greetings;

The thing that will decide this election has already been accomplished. And, it is the NFL.

When the Washington Redskins lose a home game just before election day, the incumbant loses the election. If they win, the President is re-elected.

Now, ask yourself, did Washington win or lose yesterday. Find out and you know who will be the next President of the USA.

P.S. If you watch the news and the poles - the Democrats say they have it won easily. If you watch the Republicans they say they have it won.

I think Sandy is right about the Evangelical vote - they will come in millions to support Romney. Remember, at the Democratic convention - it was voted by voice vote to remove God from the convention. People remember this.

That gives Romney no chance at all. Either the incumbent or the President will win the election.

Ok Stevie K.........lets make our choices on the bet we agreed to a month or so ago. You're a gourmet bar-b-quer so I will send south La delicacies to cook for your crew, a cult beer of your choice or a donation to a favorite charity in your name. Name your poison. Should I somehow luck out and win make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in my name and I will let YOUR conscious be your guide as to the amount of the donation. Every dollar is appreciated and needed.

Very noble Dmac. But it reminds me of a towing outfit in our town when I was just starting to drive, dead broke. It was called "Glory to God Towing." The owner said "pay what the Lord would have you pay". "Ummm ok."

I don't think they are in business anymore.

Stephen, not bashing at all. I am just referring to a couple of Biden's last couple of day gaffes. They have been quite comical.

Ron its hard to tell someone how much to give. Everyone's personal situation is different and we never made a $$$$ amount up front when we made this small wager. Should I have to make a donation in his name I will not embarass either of us and if he chooses to feed some south Louisiana grub to his crew I will send ample amounts. I like to think I am a man of my word though it did take Pete and I awhile to settle a past wager but when we finally toasted in San Diego it was worth the wait. Hell I can't even remember what the bet was about.

How did I bash Gov. Romney? I just said it was going to be because of his commercials about Jeep. Only way I even possibly see it as bashing was how I stated it. Maybe I could have chosen the whole auto bailout issue. It is what seems to be working.

Interesting election. Obama wins in spite of lower turn out. He must be congratulated for his victory. The country overall looks somehow, totally confused. The House majority grows for the republicans, the Senate remains with the democrats and more republican governors are elected.Obviously, nobody has a mandate. Only time will tell what the next four years will bring. Obama must somehow manage the same divided government he had before but this time he must spend the entire 4 years trying to govern and not campaign. Will either side reach across for some common sense solutions. It doesn't look likely because each side will continue to push for issues they were elected to stand for. I guess we will all have to wait to see how these Obamacare and financial issues work out and how the tax issues are solved. I do know this, my California taxes are now going up!

    Sandy,
No matter who the President of the USA was going to be, California Taxes were going up no matter what. I do hope Proposition 30 passes, otherwise kids from K-12 will only be going to school for 161 days per year. I don't mind paying more taxes for education as long as it only goes to fund education. I thought this election was going to be much closer than what it turned out to be.

BINGO! Gridlock before the election and the gridlock will continue. As a matter of fact it will get worse. The president is now a lame duck. He has nothing to lose. I predict he and the senate will push for even more partisan policies which will back the house of reps further against the wall.

    Christie - 2016.

Albert, if you believe that money will go exclusively to schools, I have a bridge to sell you. I have seen this game too many times before. If it goes to schools, most will go to prop up something other than helping students. California has become way too dysfunctional for tax money to ever go where it was intended. I hope you are correct but experience tells me it will end up in a big pot of money, never to be accounted for again!

send me up your favorite andouille, Dave. greensforged@gmail.com for the gory details.

Good race. Romney would've done a great job if he was left to be the moderate he is.
GOP has a lot of soul-searching to do. If they refuse to look at why they lost this, they'll keep repeating the mistakes for the next 12 years. Time for a good look in the mirror red doods. Times are a changing whether you want it or not. Be a part of it or be left behind. Be the change in your Republican party that it needs. The old stuff ain't working (obviously).

By the way, and as I've said, I've been listening to Rush and Glenn B for the last three weeks through today...
They are in business to do one thing -- scare and agitate old people who can't readily stay informed or have lost interest in the political process, or just stoke the fury of angry white males. At its best It's unbelievably misinformed and inaccurate propaganda. At it's worst, it borders on hate speech and is wholly anti-american.

Careful how you feed your head.

Couple of pictures taken off facebook from a friend's company headquarters on election night. They are a software company that supports the democratic parties fund raising and re-election databases. Much of the get out the vote tallying stuff (who what where), not only for the presidential, but all the local races as well, are theirs to support and make sure they work. This is a snapshot of what part of the new Democratic party looks like, in my opinion. Was really proud of their work.

Great pictures and story Steve. It really seems like President Obama's election team knew how and where to focus their efforts and money. To bad government doesn't work like that, they could possibly get things fixed with this approach.

Just Curious Steve, but I thought Obama only got 39% of the white vote. This looks like a republican meeting to me. Ha Ha
