We had a mower flip over into a pond the other day (operator is ok) and I am looking for info on saving the mower. it was a John Deere 997 zero turn. We pulled it out within about 2 hours and I removed all of the water from the engine by dropping the oil and removing the glow plugs and turning it over by hand. I then squirted oil into the cylinders and rotated the engine again to lube it up and combat rust. it turns over easily enough by hand and I know the exhaust valves are opening and closing.

What should I be looking at replacing on this machine? should I try to see if it starts or should I bite the bullet and replace wiring and everything. its under 2 years old so we need to put it back into action.
