Here in Wasilla Alaska we have had an excellent golf season. coming to an end and real soon. I hope everyone else had an excellent season. we are looking to buy some new equipment this year up here we can't really demo things whatever we buy we're stuck with so I was hoping to maybe get some Hands-On opinions one piece we're looking at is a turfco widespin 1550 broadcast top dresser trying to decide between self-contained with its own motor or run off vehicle hydraulics  any pros or cons from any of you guys had owned this piece of equipment would be greatly appreciated also looking at the newest Toro all electric or hybrid greens mower but have never experienced either of these machines except for advertising videos

We have had a Turfco widespin bedmount topdresser for about 16 years.    It has served our needs well.  No experience with other brands of similar units. I like the bed mount as the overall length is shorter than the pull behind set up.  It is dedicated to the specific traction unit versus being able to pull it with many different traction units.  We have some really tight spots in close proximity to the edges  of some greens thus the shorter length works better for our situation.

I also use it for fertilizing greens, tees, and rough.  We contract out the fairway fertilizer aps.  It took a little trial and error to get the gate, belt, pass spacing, and ground speed to work out.  I can get a micro fert on greens with no banding at .5 lb N/m pretty consistently. The fertilizer is harsh so we do almost completely break it down every winter, clean it out, and repaint then put back together.

We have both here. We used the tow behind for years with no issues, still have it as a backup.
We've had a mounted unit for a year, it is the way to go. Easier to maneuver around our greens and tee surrounds. We also bought the stands to go with it. They are very user friendly, we can have it off the progator and on the stands in 15 minutes.

we have both. there are both great. but it all depends on your greens. the tow unit is long and you need room to drive on and off green to complet the pass. as for the other one is even better to the tight spots. dont need as much room to complet the pass. and if needed you can back up in a really tight spot.
