Like we hated on the Japanese?

I enjoy a little MSNBC...uhmmm..for entertainment that is..lol...Every host has a smirk on their face and seems to be having a hard time keeping a straight face because they honestly can't believe what they are saying!! Of course, their 8 viewers don't really notice anyway!! :D

    Greg,

Sorry in that I have to disagree with you, most of the time MSNBC will provide charts or backing information, of course everyone can always put their spin on things. Not that all MSNBC anchors are good to watch, Matthews frustrates me when he doesn't let others talk. Reverend Al, sometimes I think he gets involved with things he shouldn't being a commentator and all. But I don't see them having a hard time keeping a straight face anymore then those on Fox news.........which I see on Stewart when he blast them. Now with some of the crap that comes out of their mouths I don't know how they keep a straight face. But that is just my opinion.

Hate is a pretty strong way to describe a difference of opinion. I don't hate anyone but I don't need to agree with their beliefs. I would never harm or attack anyone for having beliefs different from mine and I expect the same courtesy to be returned. Attempting to harm or shut down their business goes way beyond differing opinions. Gay people have every right under the Constitution that I have. Belief in marriage being between a man and a woman goes back to the beginning of organized society. Were all those people homophobes and bigots just because they held the belief that a man and a woman get married and procreate to continue the human race, tend the fields etc.? Obviously, everyone has their own moral compass. No physical harm is caused by the differing of beliefs. Gay people can still love each other, pass property on in trusts and in the majority of states have the same rights and opportunities as straight couples. I don't however see straight people trying to run gay business out of town. So the head guy of Chic Fil A has a moral difference on the issue. Does that make him a hate filled horrible bigot because he doesn't take a politically correct position? I personally don't care one way or the other about the issue but I do take great issue with the press and the gay activists trying to dictate what others must believe and to trying to destroy a business. As I said before, let the market decide. If people choose not to do business with them, that is a perfectly legitimate choice. If most feel this way, the business won't survive. I think it is ridiculous and wrong to try to shut them down or deny them the opportunity to establish a business in certain cities. At that point, which bigot is worse?

Watching any of it, Maddow, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc. etc. These are personality types that are marketed to a certain type of individual. There are people that see eye to eye with Maddow, don't think she's full of stupid ideas and really respect her opinion -- these people buy certain products and drive certain cars and will support certain businesses that their preference (indicated by watching maddow) indicates -- marketing to them commences, the world revolves happily, and same scenario for the Hannity viewers goes on and on and on.

It isn't "news" and it isn't "truth". It's editorial commentary that's paid for and constructed to look and feel a certain way to an audience that, demographically, is most likely to buy advertised product and services.

I think as long as everyone agrees with that premise and nobody thinks their entertainment/editorial/"news" channel is more valid than another, we're all good.

It's entertainment people. Remember it's scripted and written by writers who's sole purpose is to keep you listening so the next time you go to buy a product they've created some type of chance that you may buy one tht you're 'familiar' with. They'll incense you with outrageousness and appeal to your known triggers. They know you. They SO know you.

And as long as you're good with that - great. But don't call it news or reporting. It's not. It has nothing to do with those things. It's the difference between reading the editorial page in a news paper and reading a headline.

Also, Jeff owes me like $13 like WAY before he owes Bowman anything.

I guess I am too far out there then. To put Maddow in the same context as Hannity and Limbaugh is asinine. Maddow backs her talk with facts. H & L are totally BS with no facts or back-up whatsoever.

Whoa there big guy! That wasn't a loan, you said it was a gift. And I don't owe Pete anything. He gives me money. It makes him feel good. Who am I to take away his happiness?

I'm clear. I'm so clear that I have to put stickers on my face jus' so nobody tries to walk through me. Birds slam into my chest every day. I'm debt free. And no debts. No paper in my "pay Able" file. Zip. Nada. Windex buys my spit. Check the label. Oh yeah.....I'm clear.

You may not owe me any cash but you do owe me 72 hours of my life back

Good one Scott...............can we go back any further in history? What exactly does that comment bring to the discussion other than making a remark to me. I simply said for someone preaching not to hate she seems to be doing some herself, a fair assumption I think. Btw I agree with you Sandy but that should come at know surprise.
