Western Golf & Sports Field Summit to take place Oct. 26-28 in Ontario, Calif.

California Golf Course Owners Association and Southern California PGA to serve as host organizations

The inaugural Western Golf & Sports Field Summit has been scheduled for Oct. 26-28 at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, Calif. 

Co-hosted by the California Golf Course Owners Association and the Southern California PGA, the summit will feature four educational tracks for golf course superintendents, golf professionals, owners and general managers and sports field managers. 

In addition, the summit will feature a trade show with over 100 exhibitors from all parts of the golf industry, as well as opening and closing receptions with keynote speakers. Continuing education hours will be available through various state agencies, as well as the PGA and GCSAA.  

Other organizers of the summit include the American Society of Golf Course Architects, Arizona Chapter of the National Golf Course Owners Association, California Alliance for Golf, GCSAA, Nevada Chapter of the National Golf Course Owners Association, Northern California Chapter of the Sports Field Management Association, Northern California PGA and the Southern California Golf Association.

Numerous speakers have already committed to the event including Fred Yelverton, Ph.D., Jim Baird, Ph.D., Pat Gross, Ph.D.,  Zac Reicher, Matteo Serena, Ph.D., Priti Saxena, Ph.D., Shawn Emerson, Brian Whitlark, GCSAA’s Micheal Lee and Josh Tapp. 

More information including sponsorship and exhibit opportunities, room blocks and a full agenda will be coming soon.  Registration for the event is slated to open June 15.
