GCSAA VIRTUAL EDUCATION EVENT

by Shane Conroy | Mar 08, 2023

While the GCSAA Conference and Tradeshow is the largest and most anticipated event on the golf course management calendar, we know it’s not feasible for every superintendent, assistant, equipment manager and members of their team make it to the in-person event each year. With this in mind, the GCSAA Virtual Education Event offers a great alternative for those who are unable to travel to the annual in-person show.

32. GCSAA Virtual Education Event

The Virtual Education Event first came about in 2021, when we were forced to cancel the in-person GCSAA Conference and Tradeshow which was scheduled to take place in Las Vegas. Still intending to provide first-class education to GCSAA members, the virtual show was born.

It’s only been a couple of years, but the virtual show continues to evolve and provides education for each member on the team; this includes:

  • Superintendents and assistants
    • Walk away with increased skills in leadership, career growth and business. In addition, with presentations like Wellness: The Forgotten Areas and Mindful Resilience for Turfgrass Professionals, get the supportive skills needed to encourage the overall wellness of your team members.
  • Equipment managers
    • The event is a great opportunity for professional growth. Sessions like “Equipment Pre Checks, Chainsaw Safety and How to Rise from a Teammate to a Leader are tailored just for you. If you are working on becoming a Certified Turf Equipment Manager (CTEM), Check out CTEM Certification Roadblocks and more.
  • Crew member
    • The GCSAA Virtual Education Event was specifically designed with crew education in mind. From basic, practical education like “Top 10 Signs That You Have Tree Safety/Health Troubles" to community involvement opportunities like "Crew Members and The First Green Program", there is education for every member of the crew.

While your entire team can watch, each registered participant will receive .8 continuing education points for the event.

With two days of real-time online sessions March 14 and 16, the event offers expanded education for your entire team. Plus, you'll get 90 days of on-demand access to watch or re-watch at your convenience. With the primary focus on the entire team, the educational content has something for everyone and more. More info and registration can be found here

As always, if you’ve missed a previous post, please check them out below.
