I fail to see the difference. I hate to go back to Pelosi but what she said was the pure gospel truth we are finding out was in this bill and if the TRUTH be known at the time what would that of done to public opinion? The same thing it is doing now. This thing would not have been passed. Thanks Mel for answering my ? earlier, he will never ever do anything wrong its wasn't his responsiblity, he didn't know, wasn't made aware. I wish I could do that with my boss.
Thanks Jon for the link, while it bugs me because I want to support the president and do, but I know supporting him blindly isn't the way to go either. I guess it is becoming the norm in Washington, similar to what we heard before entering the war with Iraq? The manipulation of intelligence to fit the agenda? Might have to look for more sources and stories, although I guess the Washington Times is creditable? (Are any news outlets creditable anymore? I wonder if part of the problem and I think it is really true locally, as cost cutting goes on at newspapers there is less investigative or follow-up reporting because of less reporters having to move onto the next story?)
If we call one president out on it, we need to call all. I guess that is the issue I still have, too many people were mute with President Bush, why the difference with President Obama? Maybe if the opposite party didn't oppose everything the President does, people wouldn't blindly follow either side and look at what is best for everyone, not themselves. When they are right about something support them, then when they are wrong, I think it carries more weight. I know that is how I feel.
