    GREETINGS:

I am sick to my stomach from this killing of approximately 140 innocent civilians in Paris, France. What did we have two weeks ago, ISIS clamming they planted a bomb and blew up the Russian Jet with 240 innocent lives. These miserable rotten BASTARDS, Islamic Terrorists have to be liquidated now. I realize that ISIS is only a JV Team according to Mr. Obama. He made that statement many months ago.

Mr. Trump is right when he said we have to go in Syria along with the Russians and kicked the SH** out of ISIS and blow up the oil wells. We also have to get the so-called good Muslims to join in the fight against the extremists. These radical Muslims don't like the way the west lives and thinks. Well, I don't like the way these radicals live and I doubt Allah likes it either.

France is closing their border now and I'm sure the rest of Europe will follow. I realize it is extremely difficult to do this with the European Nations who can drive from one nation to another, or even walk or ride a bicycle.

I'm glad the courts did not give Obama the right to give about 5 million illegal aliens the right to amnesty. I think what happened tonight in France will unite a lot more voters to Mr. Trump.

Making a tragedy in France a reason to vote for Trump is a bit of a stretch even for you, Ron.

I don't pray, but the people of Paris are in my thoughts.

I hate to say it Ron, but the American coalition of the willing brought this behaviour to the forefront when you invaded Iraq. The only thing that held that mess of a country together was the iron fist of Sadam. It's all hindsite, I know, but all actions have unforeseen consequences. It is best to think long and hard before you decide bombing the shit out of them is the proper action

    Really, Ron?

You want to take such a barbaric act by a few psycopathic, lunatic murdering monsters and twist it into a right wing, American ideology and blame President Obama?

My wife and son were on the Rue de Charonne, where 19 people were massacred in a drive by shooting at the restaurant Belle Epoque, about 4 hours before it happened.

    It isn't Obama's fault!

I was thinking about you and your family, Steve. I can only imagine the worry and concern you must have gone through for your family. Very happy to learn they got out of there in time. Stay safe...

The truth is there is truth in all these posts. The only method of successful rule, in a good chunk of the Middle East, is by an iron fist. Red is correct that this was not an issue under Sadam. It is also correct that Obama publicly stated and treated ISIS as the JV. Laying blame at this point does not solve the problem. How the world reacts is the only solution and passively attacking the issue will not work. Complete annihilation and collateral damage must be accepted.

I invite those politicians, Capt. Kirk, Clay and like minded who want to send in troops to send in their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters and family members in first as a show of commitment to the cause.

    Keith,

First, I invite you to go back and re-read my post then come back and quote me [u">exactly[/u"> where I invite sending in our troops. My post suggests if we decide, as a world, to take on this fight we must take a scorched earth process, IMO. Secondly, your incorrect insinuating trolling is old and tired.

I originally sat here and wrote a long, and what I thought would be a very appropriate response. I did my research and looked up facts to back up my points. Changed my mind. Amazing concept. Cheers Clay.

    Keith;

I am not a politician. I do realize that 9-11 never happened and it was Hollywood produced. Because the U.S. was not at war in the Middle East at that time. And, Muslims love us. I think you are a little bit out of line in suggesting we send in our sons and grandsons and daughters to the Middle East. My daughters are too old to join the Military. One grandson would never pass the physical. So, I have one grandson left to join the Military. My granddaughter tried to join the Navy to be an Officer. And, this was after graduating from the University of Vermont. The Navy was letting people go and not taken any new recruits at this particular time.

My mother had four brothers in WWII, all Army and Army Air Force and one was a Tank Commander with Patten. And one sister, an Army Nurse in London during the war. Two of my uncles married Japanese women after the war. One stayed in Japan and the other moved to San Diego. My mother also had three sons in the USMC. All served in Vietnam and all three were there at the same time for six months. After Viet Nam, one brother served on Embassy duty in Dublin, Ireland. After Ireland, he was one of thirteen Marines that went to Helsinki for the Atomic Power Talks. My other brother was in the Air Force before Viet Nam. All I did was shake hands with Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy and President Jimmy Carter. I was unable to join the Marine Corps. However, in 1962 or 1963 I did receive my draft notice. I was married and had one child at this time. This was during the Cuban Missile Crises. The U.S. and Russia agreed to terms and the draft notice was rescinded.

So, Mr. Keith Lamb, you don't have to invite us politicians, The Kirkman Family would volunteer to go.

Also, Mr. Trump would close the border - wonder what Hillary would do?

Mr. Steve Okula - That was a close call that your wife and son had. I am glad that they are safe.

I know that it doesn't fit into the revenge narrative, but instead of bombing the s@#% out of them, how about if we bring our troops home and let the people who don't want us there anyway, figure it out amongst themselves?

But it's not hindsight, Larry. Everyone knew this was going to be the future. Endless attacks and hand wringing over the next attack. There was no doubt in anyone's mind, that I associate with, that this was where it was all headed -- how could it not?

The only thing I question was whether Cheney/Rumsfeld planned it out this way. Was their wildest hope that we'd be locked into 100 years or more of BS skirmish crap so we'd always have a fearful populace that wouldn't mind spending more on fighting those crazy arabs! It's a genius plan if that was their angle.

*equal time edit: And there's a lot you can say right now about where we'll be in 50 years thanks to Obama and federalized healthcare. We may well be screwed -- well, our grandkids, that is.

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
    November 16, 2015

"Governor Pence Suspends Resettlement of Syrian Refugees in Indiana

Indianapolis - Following reports that a Syrian refugee was among the perpetrators of the terrorists attacks that took place in Paris on Friday, Governor Mike Pence issued the following statement:

"In the wake of the horrific attacks in Paris, effective immediately, I am directing all state agencies to suspend the resettlement of additional Syrian refugees in the state of Indiana pending assurances from the federal government that proper security measures have been achieved. Indiana has a long tradition of opening our arms and homes to refugees from around the world but, as governor, my first responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of all Hoosiers. Unless and until the state of Indiana receives assurances that proper security measures are in place, this policy will remain in full force and effect."

The Refugee Resettlement Office in the Division of Family Resources in the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) administers the Syrian resettlement program."

Republican Governors demonstrating a remarkable ignorance of Constitutional law. "The Supreme Court explained in Hines v. Davidowitz, "the supremacy of the national power in the general field of foreign affairs, including power over immigration, naturalization and deportation, is made clear by the Constitution." States do not get to overrule the federal government on matters such as this one."

    Keith,

That's an interesting retort in many ways. I'm sure, if challenged, the states will lose this battle. But the republican governors are showing a solidarity with the majority by sending a clear message to the president. The governors are also showing foresight along with sensical and rational leadership that our president has failed to produce. Members of Obama's own administration, along with the FBI, have stated there is no possible way to properly background check the Syrian refugees. As such Daesh will filter in to the US along with the refugees. To think otherwise is the height of naiveté and ignorance. Unfortunately for the "real" refugees, this has turned from a humanitarian issue to a national security issue. Its time for plan B to shelter the refugees.

Point two that makes this interesting is suggesting an ignorance by the republican governors. Do you say the same for the governors and mayors of sanctuary cities and those allowing marijuana? Regardless of your stance on either issue, they are both illegal under federal law. Yet the leaders in these states and cities moved forward with, more than likely, support from their constituency. Surely you don't want your cake and eat it too, right?

A differing of opinion, I suppose. I choose to error on the side of caution. Lets hope the true refugees find safe harbor while we stay free of Daesh.

Not a Fox news watcher, just clips I would see on Stewart is most of the impression I get from them. On the odd occasion I stop on the channel I can't believe what I hear, but I should probably try some of the new people, like Abby Huntsman. I don't really watch MSNBC much anymore except when I have time for Morning Joe and sometimes while waiting for Meet The Press.

Does anyone think this won't happen at a Disneyland, movie, shopping mall, sporting event or concert here in the U.S.? I will be curious if some of you far more tolerant than I will have your same feelings then. Maybe it is an age thing but I see bad events happening on our soil and probably soon. I hope like crazy I am wrong. I would much rather be on the offense than playing defense.

Right, because guns make us safe?

Over 11, 000 Americans are murdered by firearms every year. That equates to atrocities on a scale with the Paris attacks every five days all year long. Apparently, that is acceptable as long as the murderers are not Muslim.

On any given day, I am five times more likely to get shot in any U.S. city you can name than I am in the streets of Paris, terrorsits and all.

Statistics are rarely to never reported on lives that were saved due to gun ownership. It is actually a very large number. Anyone can shoot an unarmed person. Even criminals think twice if they know they may get shot or killed!
