We are much more likely to see attacks from "home grown" terrorists than from Syrian refugees. Oh, wait! We already have! The attackers in France were French or Belgian nationals. I'd bet any attacks in the US will be from US citizens who have been radicalized. We already have enough disaffected people here who cause mass killings (think Timothy McVeigh and others). Jeff Flake had a much more sensible idea with his bill to require anyone who had been to Syria within the past 5 years to get a visa to come to the US. Right now, people with European passports do not require visas. Another fact, out of the over 20,000 refugees recommended by the United Nations, only a little more than 7,000 were accepted for screening by the US and only about 2,000 were accepted. Screening took about 2 years. Do you really think the ISIS radicals are going to wait 2 years to get legal entry? Flake's idea makes more sense.
