The GCSAA Foundation secures funding and support to strengthen advocacy, education and research that advances the work of golf course management professionals

Lawrence, Kan. (Nov. 7, 2023) Without a golf course, there is no game or business of golf. This Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28, The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) hopes you will consider supporting the GCSAA Foundation, the philanthropic organization of GCSAA. A gift to the Foundation will fund innovation through research, help potential and current golf course management professionals pursue their dreams and ensure the future of golf through advocacy and outreach efforts.

This year, the Foundation, with the help of industry partners, provided 85 individuals with various scholarships, including those for turfgrass students and children of GCSAA members. There are also four professional development programs available to help current GCSAA members expand their knowledge base and build leadership skills.

Another important fund administered through the GCSAA Foundation is the Disaster Relief Fund, which was established in 2006 in reaction to Hurricane Katrina to assist members who suffered personal loss. The Disaster Relief Fund continues to be a resource for members who face tragedy caused by natural disasters.

To stay up-to-date with everything the Foundation is accomplishing, tune into the monthly Beyond the Course e-newsletter, which includes a “Donor Corner” and a “GCSAA Foundation in Action” section that outlines the many ways the GCSAA Foundation is advancing its mission.

GCSAA is grateful for the many donors support the GCSAA Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of individuals and organizations alike, the Foundation can fund turfgrass research, offer scholarships for association members, provide professional development opportunities, support the sustainability of golf courses and more. This Giving Tuesday is your opportunity to make an impact on the future of golf.
