WAC Launches Website

by Government Affairs Team | Oct 23, 2017

During the month of October, the Waters Advocacy Coalition (WAC) launched a new website, https://watersadvocacy.org/.

GCSAA has been a member of the WAC since July 2014. The WAC is a broad cross-section of small businesses, farmers, ranchers and job creators that represent virtually every segment of the American economy. These interests rely on clean water and are committed to protecting the environment and the communities where we live and work.

Member companies power small towns and big cities, provide the materials and construct the nation’s roads and family homes, and feed American families. Members of WAC are seeing a revised Waters of the United states rule that provides regulatory clarity, promotes clean water and protects jobs.

As an active member of the WAC, GCSAA encourages you to take a look at the website to find more resources on the work of the coalition. The Resources section offers fact sheets on Drinking Water and WOTUS as well as links to current research and science documents regarding the development of the Clean Water Rule. The website provides information on recent Trump Administration actions as well as the current legal status of the Clean Water Rule.

The WAC also has the following @WatersAdvocacy Twitter handle for those who might want to weigh in on the development of a new WOTUS definition.
